On the Road....

Yesterday my dad took me and all my siblings to Provo to see a BYU basketball game! It was so much fun. We left at 8 in the morning so that we could get to Provo in time for lunch before the game. Here are some pictures from our adventure!

I love this picture! Precious!

We had a lot of fun and it was a great game even though BYU lost!
I had so much fun hanging out with my family! It was great time! Thanks Dad!

Then what else matters?

AHHH! It's Monday morning and I do not have any motivation to go and do anything. I do not want to go to school. I do not want to get ready for the day. I do not want to go to work. I just do not want to do anything. Do you ever have those days where you know deep down what you need to do. It isn't hard but you are just dreading doing it? That is where I am right now.

In the April 2007 General Conference Neil L. Anderson gave a talk titled "It's True, Isn't It? Then What Else Matters?" In it he said this-
President Hinckley said it this way: “When [an individual] is motivated by great and powerful convictions of truth, then he disciplines himself, not because of demands made by the Church but because of the knowledge within his heart."

Are we sufficiently motivated by “great and powerful convictions of truth”? Do our choices reflect this motivation? Are we becoming who we want to become? It’s true, isn’t it? Then what else matters?
Ok good quote huh? When I read this quote it really motivates me. I look at my life and evaluate the 'great and powerful convictions of truth' that are motivating me. If those 'powerful convictions' are not the ones that I want then I have to look and see where I'm going wrong. What are those great and powerful convictions of truth? Well I know my testimony of Jesus Christ, my desire to be like him, and my pursuit of having an eternal family are some of the powerful things that help motivate me. Life is too short to waste away wallowing and feeling sorry for yourself.
I just did a pretty good job of motivating myself into being happy and wanted to get things accomplished! Well Happy Monday! :)

ps- this post is kinda bipolar. ha ha. I'm glad my mood has changed.

Stalking....

So I was talking to Aleesa today and we were discussing blogs, Facebook and that sort of thing.  I realized that when you post on Facebook or create a blog that you are asking people
"Please stalk me". Every time you come up with a status or think of something to blog you are secretly thinking of what other people will think of you. Whether you want to be perceived as funny, inspiring, intelligent, or honest that is what you will post about. I'm not sure what I want to be perceived as. Probably honest. I most likely won't be funny or inspiring or intelligent but I'll be real and honest.

First Blog Post!

YEAH! Finally I am starting up this blog! I don't know why but I have wanted to start one for a while now. I'm not sure who will read this, if anyone at all, but I think this will be a good way to record what is going on in my life. I guess kind of like a journal. Well here goes nothing!

I've titiled this blog A life without love is no life at all. I want to focus on the things that I love. Everyday little things that make me happy. Like today for instance. I love the temple! Every Thursday after my class at 9:30 I go to the temple. It is fantastic. I love the peace that is there. I always feel better and am able to refocus my efforts to where I should be.

I am happy. I love my life and the tender mercies of the Lord that make it that way!
